Scientific Name: Manticora werneri
Common Name: Tiger Beetle
The Manticora werneri is distributed in the Republic of Zambia in southern Africa. It is one of the largest tiger beetles, measuring approximately 5 cm in length. It is characterized by its glossy black, round body, and males have mandibles that differ in shape between the left and right sides.
Specimens of Manticora werneri with subspecies names and smaller sizes are rare.
We will ship a male specimen collected in January 2016 from CE Gobaris, Namibia, Africa.
