This is Izawaya's oil blotting paper handkerchief, the first of its kind to be released in Japan.
In 1925, the second generation, Seishichi Izawa, brought back paper handkerchiefs used by elegant German ladies for makeup touch-ups during his trip to Europe, and began selling them as oil blotting paper in Japan.
As a pioneer of the current popularity of oil blotting paper, we carefully preserve the foresight of our predecessors and pass down their quality to the present day.
This exquisite product is cherished by our loyal customers and is also popular as a gift for Kabuki actors, among many other uses.
