Vintage butterscotch Bakelite brooch featuring a bold circular form with carved geometric Art Deco detailing and a center cutout design. The warm creamy yellow tone has beautiful depth typical of early phenolic plastics. Tested under hot water and produced the characteristic Bakelite scent. Details: • Vintage Bakelite brooch • Butterscotch / creamy yellow color • Carved geometric design • Circular cutout center • Safety pin style clasp • See photos for measurements Testing Notes Simichrome and 409 did not produce color transfer; however, the hot water test produced the classic Bakelite scent, which is often more reliable for older oxidized pieces. Condition Good vintage condition with surface wear consistent with age. Light scuffing typical of vintage Bakelite. Clasp functions properly. Approximate Era Circa 1930s–1940s
