This Terra Cotta Garlic Baker from Boston Warehouse Trading Corp. with its beehive dome topped with a garlic-shaped grasping knob, bakes one head of garlic. The terra cotta helps garlic’s natural moisture turns to steam, baking the cloves in their own juices.  As with other terra cotta cookware, start the baking in a cold oven to prevent cracking the clay. (The Terra Cotta Garlic Baker outer box includes instructions for using it in a microwave oven). Once cooked, serve the garlic in its rustic cooker.   The base of the garlic baker is glazed for easy cleanup. And with each use, the unglazed dome looks more rustic and charming.
