This lovely brooch is handmade by silversmith artist Melesio Rodriguez of Taxco, Mexico. Mr Rodriguez was an exceptional silversmith with an impressive resume. I believe this brooch may have been crafted somewhere between 1940 to 1950. It is a gorgeous piece of modern art and definitely reflects the masters abilities. It is so elegant in its simplicity. Marked: Sterling - Mexico - MR Size: approximately 1-3/4 tall and wide. Weight: 13.11 grams Condition: Wear commensurate with age and use.
