RARE! About the Kowa TrunkOrigin: Manufactured in Japan by Kowa Industry, these cases primarily date back to the mid-20th century, spanning from the late 1940s through the 1960s. History: They were frequently utilized as military aviator footlockers, pilot trunks, or field gear cases during and after the WWII and Korean War eras. Design: Noted for their durable, lightweight aluminum builds, aircraft-style riveted seam construction, toggle latches, and distinctive center key lock face. Manufacture date: 1940’s-1950’s, popular during Korean War. This particular case belonged to a pilot, Captain RW Hawley (several tags left in the case).
