1993 Vintage "Mother Sew Dear" figurine!

This is the base of the vintage Mother Sew Dear figurine (Item #E-3106) by Precious Moments, originally designed by artist Sam Butcher under the early brand name Jonathan & David.  Production Details & Markings: The Piece: It depicts a young girl sitting in a chair intently working on a cross-stitch or embroidery that spells out MOTHER. It was first introduced to retail in 1980 and officially retired in 2003. The Date Code: The copyright year marked is 1979, which indicates when the design illustration was registered. The Annual Production Mark: In the upper right corner of the base, you can see a lightly stamped Butterfly. Enesco introduced annual production symbols to track specific manufacturing years. This specific butterfly emblem reveals that your exact piece was manufactured in 1993.
