Vintage Hand Painted Silk Floral Scarf Shawl 1980s Moscow Red Sunflower

An especially unusual example, with an oversized sunflower and botanical composition and dramatic 7-inch-long fringe along the edges.  The scarf retains its original Soviet era factory tag, identifying it as a Moscow made scarf and giving the original size as 85 × 85 cm. The tag also carries the original Soviet era pricing and production information.  The design is wonderfully characteristic of the bold, expressive textile art produced during the late Soviet period.
