Description
This is an authentic World War II era United States Army enlistment token or promotional charm for the 24th Infantry Division, known as the Victory Division. The front of the token reads: VICTORY DIVISION ENLIST FOR THE 24TH INFANTRY DIVISION. The reverse side indicates its origin: FORT STEWART/ HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD, GEORGIA. This piece likely served as a recruitment or morale item during the WWII period, associated with the significant military presence in Georgia at the time. The 24th Infantry Division saw extensive combat in the Pacific Theater during WWII. The token is made of a silver-tone metal, showing some signs of age and patina consistent with its vintage, including some minor surface wear and a small area of discoloration/rust on one side (visible in images). A great historical collectible for militaria enthusiasts, WWII historians, or those interested in US Army divisional history and recruitment efforts during the war. Please examine all photos carefully for condition.
